The project is located near Dortmund Airport in Germany. The rooftop has a certain curvature and limited load-bearing capacity.
Polyshine Solar photovoltaic modules are 70% lighter than traditional glass modules with a bending radius of up to 0.5m. They feature a quick adhesive installation method that does not damage the roof or disrupt production operations. This makes them highly suitable for existing rooftops and allows them to perfectly conform to curved surfaces.
Additionally, because the building with the photovoltaic installation is located close to the airport, specific requirements are imposed on the glare of the photovoltaic modules.
The encapsulation of Polyshine Solar's photovoltaic modules utilizes high-polymer materials combined with a surface embossing process. This design maintains high light transmittance while minimizing surface gloss. At a tilt angle of 20°, the gloss is as low as 0.15, and even at an 80° tilt, the gloss is only 10.7 which effectively prevents light pollution.
